Welcome to Go Glencoe – more than just a great walk!

Ioffer guided trips into the hills and mountains in Glencoe and further afield and can cater for all levels of fitness and experience.  I love to get you off the beaten track where you can be surrounded by wildlife, rivers and waterfalls, forests and soaring mountain peaks.  Families are most welcome with all children accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

If you are short of time we can take you to the best places quickly so you have more time to spend enjoying yourself!  If you are struggling with transport, don’t know where to go or just need some extra confidence to get out and explore we are ready to help.

We offer everything from low level rambles exploring the local woodlands or intermediate walks including the Hidden/Lost Valley to more adventurous higher mountains in Glencoe or around Ben Nevis.  I can also organise trips for wedding parties and coach tours from 2 hours onwards!  If you have something specific in mind on a date we don’t currently offer we may well be able to help with that too.

All our walks include lots of local information, wildlife, history, geology and more and our guides are fully trained, qualified and insured to put your enjoyment and safety foremost.  I was recently on the Out of Doors radio show on BBC Radio Scotland showing off one of the lesser visited parts of the area!

Prices start at £120 for 1 person and £130 for 2 people for a full day and £75 for 1 person, £85 for 2 people for a half day walk.  Prices reduce incrementally for more people – please ask for details.

I’m running low level trips during the winter for example sightseeing around the Glen or the Vale to Valley and West Highland Wayfaring walks outlined below:

West Highland Wayfaring Half day
Walk over the Devils Staircase with fantastic views across the mountains and lochs and then follow the West Highland Way into Kinlochleven.   Walk starts in Glencoe  and finishes in Kinlochleven (bus back to start).

Vale to Valley Half day
Enjoy a stunning walk from Loch Achtriochtan in Glencoe.  Explore the valley floor before winding our way up into the spectacular Lost Valley.  Some of our trips have spotted a Golden Eagle here – fingers crossed!

Trips for 2015 will run on a Thursday from March onwards however I can be available on other days too..  If there is something specific you have in mind or the dates don’t suit please get in touch – goglencoe@glencoehostel.co.uk or 01855 811906.

You can follow what I am up to on Facebook too or contact Keith at goglencoe@glencoehostel.co.uk or on 01855 811906 for other information/dates/private guiding.
