Welcome to Go Glencoe – more than just a great walk!

We offer guided trips into the hills and mountains in Glencoe and further afield and can cater for all levels of fitness and experience.  We specialise in getting you off the beaten track where you can be surrounded by wildlife, rivers and waterfalls, forests and soaring mountain peaks.  Families are most welcome.

If you are short of time we can take you to the best places quickly so you have more time to spend enjoying yourself!  If you are struggling with transport, don’t know where to go or just need some extra confidence to get out and explore we are ready to help.

We offer everything from low lever rambles exploring the local woodlands or intermediate walks including the Hidden/Lost Valley to more adventurous higher mountains in Glencoe or around Ben Nevis.  If you have something specific in mind on a date we don’t currently offer we may well be able to help with that too.

All our walks include lots of local information, wildlife, history, geology and more and our guides are fully trained, qualified and insured to put your enjoyment and safety foremost.  You can join on of our weekly tours or book us out any other day for your own group or family.

Scheduled walks start at £25pp or hire me for a full day (starting at £130) or half day (starting at £75).

Monday 27/10/2014        Vale to Valley Half day – Morning and Afternoon
Enjoy a stunning walk from Loch Achtriochtan in Glencoe.  Explore the valley floor before winding our way up into the spectacular Lost Valley.  Some of our trips have spotted a Golden Eagle here – fingers crossed!  Morning walks start at 9AM, finish 1PM.  Afternoon walks start in Glencoe at 1.30PM, finish 5.15PM.  Adults £25pp, Children £15pp.  Booking essential.

Tuesday 28/10/2014        Ben Nevis – Full day
The highest peak in the UK!    Offers great views if you are lucky enough to have a cloud free summit.  Start and finish at the Ben Nevis Inn, Fort William at 9.15AM.  You may well need a refreshment after this!  Adults £50pp. Children £30pp.

Friday    31/10/2014        Full day –“Twin Peaks” – Buachaille Etive Beag
Explore one of Glencoe’s more accessible mountains.  With 2 summits and views down into Glencoe and Glen Etive where Skyfall was filmed.  Whilst there are no guarantees Glen Etive does offer great potential for seeing the wonderful Golden Eagle.  Walk starts in Glencoe at 10AM, finish by 4PM.  Adults £40pp, Children £20pp.  Booking essential.

Friday 31/10/2014        West Highland Wayfaring Half day (morning)
Walk over the Devils Staircase with fantastic views across the mountains and lochs and then follow the West Highland Way into Kinlochleven.  Adults £25pp, Children £15pp.  Walk starts in Glencoe at 9.30 AM, finishes Kinlochleven 1.30PM.  Booking essential.

Tuesday 04/11/2014        Full day – Bidean nam Bian
The highest peak in Glencoe and a massive day out with hidden lochans and rock buttresses towering above us.  We will be on steep and rocky terrain with wonderful views over the surrounding mountains of Glencoe and Glen Etive. Adults £45pp, children £25pp.
