Golfing
The Dragon's Tooth golf course is the closest golf course to your accommodation. This is a new 9 hole course, which
opened for the first time in July 2001. Situated
at the mouth of Glencachulish there are fantastic
views across Loch Linnhe from the fairways.
For further information visit the Dragon's Tooth golf course website
Built in 1974 at the foot of Ben Nevis the course
offers a great day out for all types of golfer. In
the past the course was renowned for being wet due
to the Lochaber rain, but major drainage works along
with new paths, bridges, tees and many new features
over the last four years make Fort William well worth
a visit - even the west coast weather has been great
over the last few years!
The
6th at Fort William is one of the finest par 3s in
Scotland. Although a short hole measuring only 125
yards, it is very testing with heavy rough off the
front of the tee. The green is surrounded by a 15 foot
burn with a bunker on either side and heavy rough and
trees through the back. Once you get back to the 19th
you can enjoy a beer or coffee along with a light snack.
Other courses which you may which to visit are the 9 holes courses at Spean Bridge and Traigh Golf Course at Camusdarach, near Morar
